  2. AFL Charity Game – Donation Ball Collectors

    Scosa has been nominated as the 2013 Game Day Charity for the Port Adelaide Football Clubs iconic last ever home game at AAMI stadium (Turner Drive, West Lakes) on Friday 30th of August 2013 versus Carlton.

  3. Jeans for Genes Day – Adelaide SA

    On Friday 2nd of August 2013, volunteers will help to raise funds by selling Jeans for Genes merchandise in the Adelaide CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community, have some fun and meet new people, and will help raise much needed funds for an extremely worthwhile cause! A big smile is needed!

  4. Charity Challenge Helpers – Cudlee Creek SA

    Volunteers Needed

    Two waitersAsthma Foundation SA and the SA Rogaining Association are hosting the ‘Take a Breather Charity Challenge’ on Saturday 17 August 2013 within the beautiful setting of Cudlee Creek, 45 minutes north east of Adelaide.

    The event is for people of all ages, with participants in teams of 2-5, navigating with a map and compass, to collect points at hidden markers. Strategic planning and teamwork come into play as they find their way through bush land. On conclusion, a 3 course gourmet meal prepared by the Spice Kitchen and Serafino Wines will be served.   8. Adelaide Gaol Shop Assistant – Thebarton SA

    ShopkeeperAre you interested in SA history? Bring along your fascination with history to work in the Adelaide Gaol Shop.

    We are urgently seeking volunteers who enjoy engaging with visitors to the Gaol, sharing the Gaol’s wonderful history and selling tickets and souvenirs. You will receive on site training in the use of our POS & EFTPOS machines to enable processing of ticket and souvenir sales.   10. Community Visitors Scheme Volunteer – Canberra ACT

    Volunteers Needed

    social workerDo you like spending time with older people, chatting, having cups of tea, reminiscing? Volunteers are needed to visit with residents in aged-care facilities. Many older residents experience loneliness or have limited contact with people other than paid staff. Your time with a resident could make all the difference in helping them stay connected to their community, news and events or the activities in their facility.

    Volunteers are matched on a one-to-one basis with the residents and ideally visit with them for one to two hours on a weekly or fortnightly basis. You may also enjoy social outings together, visit places of common interest, go out for coffee together etc.

    Suitable for people 18+, your involvement will enrich someone’s life and you could make new friends too!

  11. MATES Volunteers – Canberra ACT

    Volunteers Needed

     MATESThe MATES program matches eligible participants with a trained volunteer for an initial period of 12 months. Participants and volunteers get together for a few hours weekly or fortnightly to socialise, have fun and experience new activities. This friendly social time helps the participant to reconnect with their community through positive relationships. Activities may include participating in community interest groups, trips to the footy, galleries or cafes or friendly in-home visits.

    Participants come from a variety of backgrounds and may include people with a disability or a mental illness, the frail elderly, former prisoners, people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Read more…


  12. Volunteer Driving Supervisors – Balga WA

    Volunteers Needed

    studentdriverXSmallBalga Senior High School is seeking appropriately skilled people to assist their students in gaining their driver’s licence. Teaching this important skill ultimately facilitates students to access employment options and supports students from low socio-economic areas, including those with indigenous and refugee backgrounds.

    Lessons will be conducted during school hours (8:30am-3:00pm) on school days or immediately before or after school. All lessons will start and end at the school. BSHS is hoping to have at least ten instructors on the roster to spread the load, so your contribution may be as little as one hour/week. You will need to be fully licensed, obtain a police clearance and a Working with Children Permit. Suitable for people 25+

  13. Terrific Tutors Needed

    volunteer tutorCome along and participate in a 4 day training course to become a terrific tutor working one to one with an adult student who needs help building his/her literacy and numeracy skills. Tutors are required for approximately 2 hours weekly. Students are situated around the Stirling area.

     Tutors need to have good literacy and numeracy skills, and have a genuine interest in working with people. Your patience and acceptance of others will be appreciated. Suitable for people 21+ and who may have their own transport.

  15. Welfare and Assistant Welfare Officer – McLaren Vale SA

    Do you have a few hours to spare and enjoy talking to people?

    Meals On Wheels are looking for someone who is available weekdays, to assist with our clients, preparing route sheets, assessing new clients, and calling clients who were not home when meals were delivered. Full training and support will be provided.
