This week is National Volunteer Week and what better way to kick it off with the inaugural Volunteers March held by Volunteering SA-NT in Adelaide, South Australia.
Volunteers rallied together down King William Street, to proudly represent their volunteering organisation. We had 4 staff from Community CPS to represent our Community Volunteers Volunteering program and made it through with the fantastic efforts of some additional volunteers from the MS Society!

Hi everyone, as you may know I’m raising money for the CUFA Leadership Challenge which will enable me to travel to Fiji to volunteer and teach economic practices like saving & budgeting to local communities. Amongst the many fundraising events like my movie night next week, I have organised a Bake sale this Friday the 10th of Feb with the help of my fellow staff at Community CPS at our Waymouth Street branch in Adelaide. Hi everyone, as you may know from a previous post, my name is Angelique and I’m participating in this year’s CUFA (Credit Union Foundation of Australia) Fijian Leadership Challenge. I’m very excited about being given the opportunity to volunteer in Fiji and I’m running all sorts of fundraising activities to raise $3,300 I need to participate. Last week I ran a cupcake stall at the Gawler Community CPS branch and raised just over $230! I baked as many as physically possible & sold them all but one, which my little boy ended up eating – it was a good effort!

Telemedicine means that no matter where the best surgeon is they can operate on you locally at Maitland hospital using the virtual technology.

We are again sponsoring Mission Australia’s Christmas Lunch in the Park (CLIP). CLIP is a well known annual event which has been running for 35 years and now provides over 1,600 homeless and disadvantaged individuals and families with the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch, receive a gift and enjoy the entertainment throughout the day.
